Dear friend (may we call you that?)
Do you remember that feeling? Finding something in the back of your closet, underneath your bed or in the winter jacket you stow away for the three seasons it renders itself useless? Maybe its an earring back or a brochure or a valentine? Maybe that thing took you back somewhere. If you have collected these things and placed them safely in a box or pocket, you have made yourself a time capsule.

Friend, welcome to ours.

We are four friends who have met to create this time capsule to share with each other and you an affirmation of our love of small beauties, the kind we encounter when our hands meet our coat pockets. Before you start, we have a few suggestions for the best listening experience:

Go somewhere beautiful AND familiar. Somewhere your feet have stepped so many times you’ve lost count. Somewhere you feel a part of something, like a little world. Could it be a park, your childhood bedroom, underneath your covers, a spaceship going to the moon?

Experience this at a time of day that is beautiful to you. For us, we love to have access to the sun, whether through a fire escape, a window or directly on our skin.

When starting, turn off your screen and put in your earphones. You don’t have to close your eyes. But be receptive to feelings: ours and your own.

If you are ready to jump into our pockets, put on your headphones, sit down or pace, take a deep breath, and when the moment feels right, press play on the audio below and put your phone to the side. Tell our words we said hi, if you can.

Love,

Us.
